Our own California Martial Arts institute brought home*20 First places, *12 second places & *6 Third Places
On June 19 & June 20 2010 California Martial Arts Institute competed at Disney's Martial Arts Festival at Disneyland® Resort !

*The competition had all the positive atmosphere of competition with the magic of the Disneyland® Resort for competitors, spectators, families and volunteers. This event was open to both children and adults, from White Belt/White Sash to Black Belt/Black Sash.

With five disciplines to choose from, Martial Artists will enjoy the very best competition from all over the world. The disciplines are coordinated and judged by knowledgeable authorities in each of their respected systems of martial arts. This translates in to a fair and accurate interpretation of your performance.

Competition Included the Following Separate Disciplines:
* Chinese Martial Arts
* Chanbara
* Filipino Martial Arts
* Grappling/BJJ
* Iaido
* Koshiki
* Olympic Style Tae Kwon Do

* Sport Martial Arts/Kajukenbo (Open to all Empty Hand Systems)
* Traditional Japanese/Okinawa Karate and Kobudo


Finals

* The Legend of Lionman Finals
* Masters Hall of Fame


Special Activities

* One Merit Badges (Fun for the entire family)
* Seminars
* Disney's Martial Arts Festival at Disneyland® Resort Expo for athletes and school owners
* Martial Arts Celebration Experience at Disneyland® Park
* Cane Master with Mark Shuey Sr.

**CMAI’s USA team is coached by Sifu Tim McFarland (Head Coach), Sifu Aaron Beatty, Sensei Tony Johnson, Sensei Josh Goessling, and Sensei Lilly Freeland.

The specific purpose of the U.S.A. Team is to foster and perpetuate international feelings of good will and respect, while increasing foreign and domestic awareness of cross cultural companionship and understanding through rigorous training, friendly competition, and martial excellence.

Thai and American Kickboxing, Tai Chi Chuan, Japanese Swordsmanship, specialty weapons, and more!
