Santa Monica, CA Dec. 11 -- There are a number of outstanding organizations dedicated to helping children-in-need with toys and clothing during the holiday season; but what about their other important needs in their everyday lives? This is where the Kids Care Club and the Princess Project LA have discovered that we can make a difference and bring smiles to the faces of children. Our Party with a Purpose events reach out to local families with the goal of raising awareness and dollars for the “Big Dreams, Little Wishes” program that grants everyday wishes to foster care children, while teaching kids how easy and fun it is to help others. It’s really that simple.

On Saturday, December 19th from 12pm to 4pm, Kids and parents will rather at the AMC Theaters Santa Monica 7 in the Third Street Promenade for a royal celebration and holiday fundraiser like no other. It’s a magical Princess (and Knight) event hosted for kids by kids that includes admission to see Disney’s newest animated film,” The Princess and the Frog “and royal festivities after the film. It will be easy to spot the celebration complete with full- size fairytale carriage, entertainment, craft, face painting stations, and an amazing array of delicious royal treats donated by area caterers and bakeries. Tickets are $18 for adults and $16 for children. There are 3 movie show times. Seating is limited. Advance ticket purchase is highly recommended.

Kids Care Club LA is a program of the HandsOn Network whose mission is to “develop compassion and inspire a spirit of volunteering in elementary and middle school age youth. Outreach Coordinator, Karen Moore noted “that Kids Care Club and Princess Project LA are perfect match."

Princess Project LA is a group of working and stay- at -home mothers and others that have a special commitment to helping foster care families. Their mission is to improve the quality of life for foster care children. Moore stated “Our Kids Care volunteers are delighted to be Wish Ambassadors and be of service for event for this important event and other events, including Disney’s “Give a Day, Get a Day” celebration of volunteerism kicking off in January 2010”.
