1-800-HANSONS Announces End of Another Successful “Sing-a-Jing” Contest

Detroit, Michigan, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) December 1, 2011 -- TROY, MI – 1-800-HANSONS has announced the close of their annual “Sing-a-Jing” contest, capping yet another successful online event.

The home improvement company, which has served Michigan and Ohio since 1988, opened the contest from September 26 to November 26, 2011. For those two months, Michigan and Ohio kids in grades K thru 8 were asked to submit videos of themselves singing the 1-800-HANSONS “Get It Done” jingle, a longtime staple.

The videos were uploaded and online voting determined the winners, which will be announced next week.

The child with the most online votes receives a $5,000 college savings bond and a $500 Toys R Us gift card. In addition, the winning child’s school will receive $2,500 cash.

Two more kids will win consolation prizes.

Brian Elias, founder and president of 1-800-HANSONS, expressed his pleasure about the participation from kids, parents and schools.

The contest kicked off with a massive TV ad campaign, which was followed up by social media and website pleas.
