"Life Matters" is America’s #1 Advice/Personal/Health Talk Show in the Life Category*. The weekly one hour radio program focuses on the important matters of life: health, family, relationships, trends, current events, personal finance and more. Including personal stories that will move, amuse and inspire. The show features interviews with a wide range of persons whose efforts influence peoples lives. “Life Matters doesn’t just inform people,” says Host Larry Bofman, “it entertains them in their pursuit of happiness – fostering a true sense of enjoyment.” Rounding out the cast and sharing the air with Bofman is insurance consumer advocate, J.D. Howard and television personality, Nikki Freitag.
In addition to sharing insights and information on issues and current events not commonly discussed each week in the mainstream media. “Life Matters” also features interviews and health and wellness issues.
This week the interview portion of the Sunday August 28th, 2011 show focuses on “What Does It Take To Be A Superwoman?” Special Guest, Mom, TV Star, Executive and Novelist, Pamela Martin will talk about “How the Stakes are Higher for Successful Women.”
Martin, author of the political novel Hard Whispers (www.hardwhispers.com), said that successful women today need to raise their standards and embrace the fact that they have to do more than men in order to be considered their equals.
"When I was growing up, women were just beginning to awaken to the possibilities and opportunities open to them, beyond being housewives and mothers," she said. "And I read the stories and see the studies that declare women still aren't equal at the workplace or in big business. I see the complaints that women have to work harder and smarter just to keep pace. My attitude is simply "woman-up" and deal. So what? My grandmother didn't have the opportunities I have, and my daughters will have more than I did.” Martin currently consults for many forms of media, sports marketing, public relations and sponsorship programs as a director of new business development with Martin-Duarte Capital Partners. Prior to that, Martin served as a broadcast media representative for national advertising sales with Petry Media Corp/Blair Television in New York. She managed national sales of spot advertising for stations around the country as well as ad buys with major advertising agencies in New York.
Although the show is currently broadcast live from Phoenix, Arizona on terrestrial radio station KKNT AM 960, Listeners can listen on local small market radio stations, visit the shows website at www.LifeMattersMedia.com Sundays - 5 pm to 6pm MST to listen live or check out the show's website Archive to hear the show later. Another "Listen later" option that also benefits the show's rankings is to visit www.DAR.fm and record the show using the sites digital audio recorder options. (*DAR.fm is where “Life Matters” draws its coveted “#1 in America. . .” ranking from.)
"As we put together the show we always envision it being listened to by a family sitting down to Sunday dinner." Says Bofman. With the exception of an interview on a serious subject, an atmosphere of fun, humor and good times permeates the show. "Life Matters" strives to be a fun, entertaining, informative and inspiring hour as my Co-Hosts and I agree, disagree, and discuss what our listeners deal with in their lives. Even so, its important to us that our end product be a show the whole family can enjoy together." In a world of “Shock Jocks” and “Contentious Radio Talk Shows” that apparently is what makes “Life Matters” unique.
Businesses interested in sponsoring the show are encouraged to visit the website at www.LifeMattersMedia.com and click “Media” on the sites menu.
