11th Annual Lake Norman Wine Spectacular

HUNTERSVILLE, NC--August 8, 2009-- The Lake Norman Huntersville Rotary Club is hosting the 11th Annual Wine Spectacular and Tasting on Saturday evening, October 17, 2009. The event will be held at Northstone Country Club in Huntersville, NC. As in years past, this year’s event will feature a LIVE and SILENT Auction as well as the ever popular Champagne Diamond Reverse Raffle.

Over the last several years, the Rotary Club of Lake Norman – Huntersville has contributed in excess of $100,000 to local charities including The Lake Norman Free Clinic, The Ada Jenkins Center, The Red Cross and other local and international charities. This year, the Rotary Club of Lake Norman-Huntersville has chosen several Beneficiaries. The Lake Norman Free Clinic is our event’s main benefactor but a portion of the proceeds from certain sections of the event will benefit the following local and statewide organizations:

Champagne Diamond Reverse Raffle – Charlotte USO
Live Auction – The Angels & Sparrow Soup Kitchen
Silent Auction – The Hope House Foundation
Door Raffle – The Special Olympics – North Carolina

“This has been and continues to be the premier Wine event at the Lake.”, said Chris Jones, Past Rotary Club President and Wine Spectacular Chairman. The event is always filled with excitement and best of all the charities are benefited greatly by the event proceeds. “Where else can you participate in an outstanding event that features over 25 wines to taste, a real LIVE Auction, outstanding food and entertainment and raise money for FIVE deserving charities”, said Ross Kellman, Past Chairman and Master of Ceremonies for this year’s event.
