More works by Ulrich de Balbian (Google for more of his work and prices) have reached record prices on auctions both in the West as well as in Asia, after they were on auction at Art Price. where they were withdrawn for sale on auction after wealthy collectors scooped up all the work available on auction at Art Price These, unknown, collectors from Paris, France, the United States of America, England, Germany, Taiwan, Beijing, People's Republic China, Hong Kong and Singapore bought all work available at Art Price from the agency who placed them there for auctions, as a result bids of more than a $2,000,000 for a work, and a total of more than $30,000,000 for all work on auction there, were rejected as the works were sold to collectors from these international urban Art Centres.

Several of the works of Ulrich de Balbian on auction at Art Price's new online auction venture from after 20 January have already appeared on auctions both in the West as well as in Asia, and for three to four more than there opening prices at Art Price. Obviously, work from this British-French contemporary painter has become extremely popular collection pieces and solid investments for the select few with money to purchase the most expensive art works available. No doubt that their acquisitions are solid and serious long term investments. The popularity of this artist, who has lived for all of his adult life withdrawn from public life and society, is immense. The enigmatic Ulrich de Balbian never accepts approaches of the media and his agents rejected offers for interviews for radio, television, major press agencies, dailies, weeklies, monthlies from the general press and newspapers as well as from the art press.

Apparently a museum for a collection of his work only is planned. The country and city where the museum will be constructed is still to be decided on by the committee managing the De Balbian Trust Foundation. They will select the location from a short list of roughly ten cities that requested to be considered for the construction of the museum. As most of his work will be placed in the museum, and therefore is unavailable for purchase, the small collection of works that are available, are obviously precious and highly valued acquisitions. No wonder there fore that they increase in value and therefore also price, daily, or one could say, even hourly.

Since the publication of that price, 10/01/12, prices for work by Ulrich de Balbian have rocketed in price. That is, if one is available to purchase any work of his, as they are very difficult to obtain. One might see them mentioned on the sites of different online galleries, or even listed for auctions, for example at Webstore online auction house, or placed by a professional curator, agent and appraiser for collectors at Ebid auction, but most offers for those works will be unsuccessful and merely rejected. Such offers are made by those who only woke up far too late to the popularity of Ulrich de Balbian and wish to obtain a work cheaply, as a long term investment or to pruchase a gold or diamond mine for the price of a few million dollars.
