1on1 Boxing Fighters to Compete for State Titles

Mesa, Arizona, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) December 7, 2010 -- 1on1 Boxing Fitness, Mesa’s premier boxing and fitness facility, fighters Breenan Macias and Dane Guthrie will compete for state titles this weekend at the Arizona Silver Gloves and USA Open and Novice State championships at the AZ Rec Boxing Club at the ARCH.

Macias will compete in the Silver Gloves tournament; Guthrie will fight in the Open Division State championship.

“Both competitors are looking to advance to the nationals,” said 1on1 Boxing Fitness owner, certified conditioning specialist and former professional boxer Christopher Terry. “Winning these fights will be the first step towards achieving this goal, earning these fighters state titles that will move them on to regionals.”

Breenan already has the National Junior Golden Gloves under his belt, while this is Guthrie’s first attempt at the state championship. If Macias moves on, he’ll advance to the regional championships in Norwalk, California in January. If Guthrie gains the state title, he’ll move on to the Four Corners Tournament in Salt Lake City, Utah in February.

Both tournaments will be taking place December 11 and 12 at the AZ Rec Boxing Club at the ARCH located at 1550 West Colter Street in Phoenix. Fights begin at 2:00 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children.
