1ST PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP (PPP) AGREEMENT SIGNED IN SOUTHERN SUDAN
The Government of Southern Sudan represented by the Ministry of Finance have signed the 1st PPP Agreement with AMCA Ltd sealing the commitments of both parties in implementing the Housing Projects.

Juba, Southern Sudan - After the series of technical collaborations, the Ministry of Finance & Economic Planning of GOSS have decided to adopt and take advantage of the internationally recognized PPP approaches in bringing-in infrastructure projects and attracting investments in the country. It would be the first and the largest investment project to be undertaken by the Government of Southern Sudan in partnership with the private sector at a cost of 10.1 Billion US Dollars.

http://www.amcabana.com The PPP Agreement will give birth to a new company to be known as the New South Sudan Company (NSS) whose special mandate is to implement the New South Sudan Initiative Housing Project. It will create executive organization, appoint top executives, hire support staff, sign contracts with major contractors and sub-contractors, and establish relationship with other investors. All for a common purpose of achieving a viable housing project that can provide reasonable returns to stockholders and stakeholders and at the same time ensure the delivery of basic quality services to the beneficiaries of the housing projects.

In the case of the New South Sudan Initiative Housing Project, the public sector will share land, investment guarantee and provide regulatory laws, while the private sector will share technology and provide financial resources to come up with a reliable and viable infrastructure project.” says AMCA’s International Business Development Director, Mr. Amando M.
