2.45 GHz Gain Adjustable Active RFID Reader

It is intended for use in applications such as personnel location, logistics, warehouse management, closed loop asset tracking and high value asset tracking. This reader belongs to GAO’s 2.45 GHz Active RFID Readers family of products.

This gain adjustable active RFID reader, model 217001, has an omni-directional, standard whip antenna which allows the reader to identify transponder tagged items up to 100 meters in all directions. Its identification distance is adjustable from less than 5 meters to 100 meters according to actual situations for higher accuracy. The optimized reader offers a read rate of 100 tags per second with multi-detection and a data rate of 1 Mbps. It implements GFSK modulation and offers both direct mode and buffering mode for data collection. In direct mode, the reader uploads messages to the host system in real time. In buffering mode, it receives and saves messages which are uploaded only when requested by the host system. Additionally, it has a buffer capacity of to store the latest 800 received messages and communicates with a computer via RS232/485 for data exchange.
