Giant and other pumpkin growers from the Western United States will compete for $1,800.00 in prizes, trophies, and glory at The 2009 Pumpkinmania! Giant Pumpkin Weigh-off & Contest, October 25, 2009.

The 2009 Pumpkinmania! Giant Pumpkin Weigh-off & Contest will be held, Sunday, October 25, 2009, from 8:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m., at the Heritage Museum of Orange County, 3101 West Harvard Street, Santa Ana, CA 92704. Now in its eighth year, this premier event draws giant and other pumpkin growers from the Western United States, Mexico and Canada to compete for $1,800.00 in prizes, trophies, honor and glory. Growers will compete for Heaviest Pumpkin, Best Color, Funniest Shape, Most Experienced Grower, Youngest Grower, and other categories. The botanically curious public, gardeners of all ages, and families are invited to attend. There will be food, arts & crafts, blacksmithing demonstrations, and more.
