For those who believe that a daily-driving sedan should be more than just an empty metal shell that transports us from place to place, Economy Nissan presents the 2012 Nissan Altima. Full of life and technological features that make driving more engaging, the Altima will make owners want to get up in the morning and actually drive their car. With solid performance from two different engine choices, a refined interior, and tons of high tech equipment standard, the 2012 Altima will not disappoint.
When test driving the 2012 model at Economy Nissan, potential customers will note that the Altima is made for smooth performance. Whether it is equipped with the 2.5-liter DOHC 16-valve 4-cylinder engine which will produce 175 horsepower or the upgraded 3.5-liter V6 containing 270 horsepower, drivers will find that the sedan has more than enough power for daily driving. To keep fuel consumption low, Nissan has equipped the Altima with an Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission® which will return 23 miles per gallon city and 32 mpg on the highway with the 4-cylinder engine.
In addition to performance, the 2012 Nissan Altima also has many tech features to make driving more enjoyable and convenient. On the “2.5” trim level (base), Push Button Ignition is offered as well as an in-cabin air conditioning microfilter. If the technology package is opted for the Nissan Hard Drive Navigation System with a 6.5’’ color touch-screen, XM NavTraffic/NavWeather, and Zagat restaurant reviews are all included. An auxiliary audio jack for MP3 players and six speakers are standard on all trim levels except the base “2.5”.
As in all Nissans, the Altima comes standard with a plethora of safety features ranging from the Nissan Advanced Dual-
Stage Air Bag System to the Tire Pressure Monitoring System. In 2011, the government scored the Altima four out of five stars on overall safety including a five star rating in side crash tests.
Economy Nissan of Durango Colorado would like to invite anyone interested in learning more about this terrific car to come and test drive one today. With great performance, outstanding features and safety to boot, the 2012 Nissan Altima is sure to appeal to a wide variety of drivers from all walks of life.
