24Notion Philanthropic Efforts Increase in total contribution of $186K in 2010-2011
24Notion grows contributions to the community again this year
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) September 26, 2011 --
24Notion, creative marketing and lifestyle agency, is proud to announce the continuation and growth of its philanthropic efforts in 2010-2011. The company has focused on making a difference in three important areas: mentorships for young professional women and students in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) efforts; education and academic initiatives; and entrepreneurial/start up engagement.
“Our goal is to create and support sustainable economic development worldwide and in our hometown. This is especially important to us in the current economic climate. Donating our time, talent and resources is an important part of our charitable community support. We believe every effort from any size profitable organization can have a great impact in the world. We hope to show how easy it is for individuals and other small businesses to make a big difference,” said 24Notion Founder/CEO, Ivo Lukas.
As part of its corporate social responsibility efforts 24Notion co-sponsored the Global Girls in Tech mentorship program. This international effort helps and encourages young students (K-12 and college) and professional women worldwide to consider and grow in academic and professional careers within Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields. Because the number of young women in STEM fields is diminishing, mentorship plays an important role in inspiring and supporting girls and women from grade school students to young professionals, who are considering or are pursuing this career path, contribute their talent and their voices.
On a local level, 24Notion contributed and sponsored over $8,000 in support of the Fit2 Print fashion show and the 24Notion Scholarship Fund 2011. Hosted by the Art Institute of Portland, Fit2Print is the single largest fundraiser for the school’s Creative Arts Scholarship Fund. During the event, students were invited to submit applications for the 24Notion Scholarship Fund 2011. This year’s winner of the 24Notion Scholarship Fund, Bryce Black, received a prize package of $6,000 in services from 24Notion to help him develop his brand from the ground up. Bryce has since become a contestant on Project Runway Season 9.
To help support entrepreneurial, tech, and small business communities throughout the Pacific Northwest, 24Notion partnered with Oregon Entrepreneurs Network (OEN). 24Notion worked closely with the non-profit organization in strategizing and developing an integrated brand, marketing, digital and social engagement story that would benefit the greater entrepreneurial community. Each year, OEN events and associated angel investor networks support entrepreneurs and young companies by offering education and opportunities for exposure to capital resources, especially important in difficult economic times. Since 1999, over 40,000 participants have taken part in OEN’s programs and events. So far in 2011, 24Notion has contributed more than $48,000 in PR, marketing, and digital services for major events including Angel Oregon(and other events) 2011, which raised an investment pool of $215,000, the 18th Annual Tom Holce Entrepreneurship Awards, Venture Northwest, OEN’s 20th anniversary and other events.
In addition, 24Notion helped support the following organizations: Education Funds, Oregon Food Bank, National Center for Women & Information Technology (NCWIT), SchoolHouseSupplies, LakeBible, Kind Campaign and Oregon Environmental Council (OEC) with sustainable/environmental and eco-initiatives and community outreach.
24Notion donations of resources, cash, in-kind services, labor and community support are given directly to non-profit organizations. To date, their 2011 total contribution totals $186,000. As the company continues to move forward, 24Notion plans to increase their efforts to serve not only the local community but global communities as well. Enthusiastic about their increased support this year, 24Notion continues to foster a mentality of giving to those who are less fortunate and to those who can benefit from extra support in order to create stronger communities worldwide.
