26-Year Old Seeks to Become Job Creator

Cary, North Carolina, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) December 21, 2011 -- David Mark Chiprut, a twenty-six-year-old student at Wake Technical College, Raleigh, NC, has a goal of creating an independent start-up company called Freak Out! Studios, LLC. The company is planned as an interactive digital media and software company to be located in Cary, NC. This area of North Carolina is the hub of design activity in the video gaming market with many of the major players headquartered there.

Chiprut formed an LLC in October, 2011 and currently seeks funds to bring his first endeavor to the market. Freak Out! Studios’ primary project is Polar Wars: South Pole in Peril, a 3D video game designed specifically for the smart phone market. He has completed the pre-production phase in the game’s development, but can go no further without the funds to pay for the software licenses needed to publish the game.

Chiprut’s Polar Wars project is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter.com, a well known crowd-funding website. The project has until January 13, 2012 to meet its funding goal or all funding will be withheld. People who donate to the project are called Backers. Through Kickstarter.com, these Backers fund a variety of projects including works of art, music projects, video games, etc. For their donations, they may receive token gifts relating to the project. Among the obstacles Chiprut must overcome in his attempt to establish his studio is the fact that he was diagnosed with a condition called Asperger Syndrome, a type of autism. Although Chiprut’s condition is rated as “high functioning”, it frequently impacts his ability to interact socially with others. On the other hand, people with Asperger Syndrome often are creative, intelligent, passionate and focused individuals. Some, like Dan Aykroyd, Daryl Hannah, and most recently, American Idol finalist James Durbin have made a name for themselves in the world of entertainment. Others, possibly including Thomas Edison and Henry Ford, have left an enduring mark in the world of business and technology.

If the Polar Wars project is successful, Chiprut hopes to complete final production and publication of the game by mid-March, 2012. His long-term goal is more ambitious. Once Freak Out! Studios is well established and cash is steady, Chiprut plans to widen the company’s focus into creating augmented reality technology and applications. He is confident that augmented reality technology is the future. Some current augmented reality apps can assist the consumer by overlaying restaurant names and data onto their smart phone screens as they walk down the street. Chiprut feels that “Augmented reality can be easily adapted for use in advertising, education, tourism, and entertainment. The possibilities are unlimited.”

For now, Chiprut is desperately focusing on getting funding for the Polar Wars project so he can establish himself in the gaming industry. He states “Backers are my only hope.”
