2Modern Receives Shine A Light Nomination

(Free-Press-Release.com) September 8, 2009 -- 2Modern was nominated for the Shine A Light award by Megan Pheif for the company’s work with the non-profit organization Hayden’s Hope. Hayden’s Hope is an organization that was founded by Megan and John Pheif in order to raise money and awareness for children suffering from Fibrodysplasia Ossificans Progressiva (FOP).

2Modern has “...consistently contributed product and time to help raise awareness to finding a cure for FOP” says Pheif. 2Modern co-founder, Greg Finney, was “…deeply honored and excited to hear of the nomination,” and he hopes that awards such as Shine A Light will help to bring “positive attention to organizations who really care to make an effort in their community.”


In addition to acting as a sponsor for Hayden’s Hope, 2Modern also plays an active part in various national and local charities including the American Heart Association, S.L.E. Lupus Foundation, The American Cancer Society, CHEG, Caroll Hospital Center, Project Angel Food, The Little School, and Autism Speaks.

The environment is another cause that has been at the top of 2Modern’s list for some time now. With initiatives such as the 2Modern Eco Shop – a special section of the 2Modern website that showcases modern eco-friendly designers – 2Modern consistently shows their concern for environmentally friendly design.


Recently, 2Modern has been busy promoting a new venture that is focused upon supporting the economy within the United States. 2Modern’s “Made In America” project – awarded Best Patriot Act by San Francisco Magazine – pays tribute to American designers that keep all craftsmanship and materials purchasing within the United States.
