3 Politicians dictate the Peoples Rights in West Hollywood

In a late night city council meeting, councilman Jeffery Prang lead the attack on the qualified ballot measure
that would have generated over a $1million dollars every 90 days for the citizens of West Hollywood. His ammunition
was provided at the meeting by the major Billboard Companies, like CBS Outdoor who profits tens of millions of dollars from
Billboards and Supergraphics in West Hollywood.

Councilman Abbe Land was hypocritical in her speech to deny the right for the people to vote on Taxing Billboards but stated
she supported Taxing Billboards. Her statement gives her the right to approve and express here opinion but not the same right for the thousands
of voters who helped qualify this initiative for the March 2011 ballot.

Councilman John Heilman misrepresented the facts about this popular initiative and stated the people did not know what they were signing
to get this initiative on the ballot. The West Hollywood City Attorney defined the ballot measure and his description is on every page that
the people signed in support of the initiative.

The "Tax Billboard Act" was qualified and certified for the March 2011 ballot with 50% more signatures than each of the 3 politicians
received by the voters to be elected as a city councilman in West Hollywood.

The 3 politicians and their Billboard Company supporters may have temporarily won a battle that has taken away and dictated the peoples right to vote and
express their opinion, but in this country protecting the right to participate in government and civic affairs and to speak freely about public issues and vote
is a war they will not win.
