30-Day “No Complaints” Challenge Transforms Businesses and Lives
Welcome visit Our WebSite:
http://30daytransformationchallenge.com/ The premise of the 30-day “no complaints” challenge is to bring awareness to our verbal communications as well as our thought processes. The challenge invites people to stop complaining. Specifically, the challenge states: “Do not complain. At all. About anything. To anyone. Ever. For the next 30 days. Period.” It’s that simple, but it might not be so easy.
Habits are easy to create and not so easy to break, so the habit of complaining may take a while to change. Experts tell us that it takes 30 days to create a new habit, so the challenge is designed with this in mind. Additionally, experts tell us that the first step to lasting change requires a commitment to the change we desire. On the challenge website, challengers are asked to download and sign the 30-Day Transformation Challenge Pledge. The pledge commits challengers to: bite their tongue when they feel a complaint coming on, do not commiserate or agree with others who complain, reframe their complaints and state information objectively, take a deep breath before talking, look on the bright side and share it, don’t spread negative gossip and much more.
“The challenge is an invitation to think about what we’re thinking about and what we are saying. Words have power and they impact not only what happens in the moment, they impact how we move forward with task at hand and the people we interact with.” Says Sue Urda, Co-creator of the challenge, “So often, we are in auto-pilot, and words slip from our mouths before we take the time to measure their potential impact. When we’re with other people, whether it’s at work, at home or hanging out, it is easy to get caught up in the drama of what others are saying and even contribute to it by complaining. Complaints simply add to the negative impact and compound what may be an already not so great situation. The challenge simply shines a light on what we’re saying and thinking and it asks us to make a conscious shift towards the positive.”
In addition to the pledge, other tools have been designed to assist the challengers. The Transformation Movie was created to set the tone for personal transformation and a blog has been set up to allow those who take the challenge to share their journey with others who are on the same path. They share their difficulties, their shifts and how they are feeling, so it makes it easier for everyone to stay on the challenge and get support when they need it. The website and blog can be found at www.30daytransformationchallenge.com. The challengers who sign up on the website will receive six emails over thirty days with tips and insights for their transformation. Another practical tool is a book authored by Sue Urda titled, Powerful Intentions Everyday Gratitude, which provides a 100-day journey for personal awareness and joyful living. The book is a natural follow up to the challenge.
The challenge was created by Sue Urda and Kathy Fyler, Co-Founders of Powerful You! Women’s Network. The pair have been business partners since 1994 and are dedicated to empowering women and individuals to live as conscious creators of their lives. They create live regional and national events, teleseminars, and hold monthly networking meetings for women.
