300 Toys Collected for Denny Moe’s Superstar Barbershop 4th Annual Toy Drive

On Friday December 23, 2011 Celebrity Barber Dennis "Denny Moe" Mitchell owner of Denny Moe’s Superstar Barbershop, former NFL linebacker 2x Super Bowl champion Carl Banks delivered over 300 toys to the Harlem Dowling Ujima After-School Program at P.S. 125 which is one of many programs administered by Harlem Dowling West Side Center for Children and Family Services. The children participated in a Christmas tree decorating event on December 3, 2011 which kicked off the annual toy drive. Friday’s event was full of festivities which included singing and dancing and a Santa Claus who distributed the toys raised. The children were so excited and one could not help but become overwhelmed as the children received their toys and squealed with joy. Harlem Dowling’s, Executive Director, Dorothy Worrell, was very pleased and grateful to the contribution and fund raising efforts of Denny Moe’s Superstar Barbershop and NFL Great Carl Banks.
Mitchell was thrilled to have the opportunity to work with HDWC. He feels toy drives are such a worthy cause. Dennis “Denny Moe” Mitchell said, “Every child deserves to be happy, especially during the holidays”. The collaboration between Denny Moe’s Superstar Barbershop and two - time Super Bowl champion, Carl Banks speaks to the commitment and positive influence each has within their community.
