When Major Roger Law of the 349th Air Mobility Wing contacted Hank to perform at their 2011 Christmas banquet, he was excited to accept the challenge. “I consider it an honor to be asked to entertain these men and women who literally put their lives on the line to protect myself and everyone else who considers themselves an American.” A lot of people don’t realize that reservists from all military branches are routinely called into active duty in Iraq and other areas involved in the conflict in the Middle East. “There will be reservists being deployed to and returning from active duty in the Middle East attending the banquet,” explained Major Law when he booked Hank to perform for the event. Hank Morfin commented, “To be able to entertain these people, give them a little wonder, a lot of laughs and hopefully some great memories to take with them overseas, or back to Travis Air Force Base, is extra special to me as a performer and an entertainer.” Major Law spent time on active duty himself and was awarded the Bronze Star in 2005 for his role in Operation Iraqi Freedom in the summer of 2004.

While Major Law was busy receiving the Bronze Star back in 2005, Hank was fulfilling his dreams by starting Morfin Magic, a corporate and private entertainment company here in the San Francisco Bay Area. His passion for magic and performing was ignited many years ago when, at the age of 9, he received his first magic set as a gift.
