3rd Annual Charlotte NC Fashion Week Returns with Spotlight on New Emerging Designers

Hosted by Fox News Rising co-host Anna Kooiman, the theme for this year’s fashion event is “City Confidential: the Fashion Chronicles,” which will showcase a diverse group of talented new designers who will infuse their unique fashions and styles with the essence of the city’s budding art, culture and entertainment scene. City Confidential will also highlight individuals in Charlotte’s community who have helped shape the city in these areas. “We will use a mix of short video vignettes, fashion commercial ads and photography to account Charlotte’s growth into a lively cosmopolitan city with its own unique style,” said Anthony Simons, Director of CNCFW.

CNCFW continues to place an emphasis on serving as a platform for local and regional emerging designers while generating tourism to the city. This year’s event has attracted participants locally, nationally and from across the globe from France and the former Soviet Republic. Designers set to participate include, Green Label Designs (FL), Jen Jessica S. Designs (France), Elene Licelli (Georgia, Tbilisi) Foxx Skynz (NC), Gini by Elizabeth (NC), Odelia House of Style, (NC) Pretty Birdie (SC), Republic Rogue by Kristi Stewart (NC), Beautese Designs NC, Sacchi Designs (NC), Audrey and Grace (GA), Alana B. Couture (SC) Kotani Rae (NC)

CNCFW will feature several local boutiques and will highlight local businesses that have been at the forefront of Charlotte’s growth. The event will include nightly runway shows, VIP red carpet receptions, networking opportunities and educational resources for fashion industry professionals and enthusiasts with vendor displays, workshops, and entertainment.

This year CNCFW will benefit The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Central and Western NC and has committed to raise funds to grand a wish. “This is an incredible organization that makes the dreams of so many terminally ill children become a reality and we want to be part of helping to make those dreams come true,” says Mr. Simons. The first fundraiser is scheduled for Friday, July 9th at Suite Nightclub inside the Epicentre at 210 W. Trade, which will feature a fashion show and after party hosted by retailer Banana Republic.

PLITZS Fashion Marketing, the producers of the event is giving away free tickets on the 15th of every month until September 2010. Participants can log onto the website and complete short survey for a chance to win a pair of free VIP tickets to the event and after parties.
