FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Lewisville, Texas, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) June 28, 2011 -- Fourth of July is a grand event in the United States. Its celebrations usually mean a fun-filled holiday with red, white and blue colors that is the color of the American Flag. Every individual celebrate this significant day with loads of enthusiasm, eventful activities and delicious food.
Cooking healthy food for the Fourth of July means adding vitamins and minerals by serving vegetable and fruit based dishes. Healthy recipes include more fruit, vegetables and whole grains. We need to broaden our food ideas to make 4th of July barbecue party healthy and fun simultaneously.

Foods traditionally eaten on the Fourth of July may vary slightly as each region of the country brings their own unique ingredients to many of America’s favorite summer holiday foods. Because the beauty of the country draws families outside in the summer, nothing works better than barbecue and family favorite summer side dishes and desserts served the Fourth of July. Barbecues are mostly prepared and eaten on this occasion. Whether its steak, chicken, ribs or vegetables, barbecuing is a fun and easy way to make a meal. A sheet cake decorated to look like the United States flag is often the first and easiest choice, but why not try something new for the party? Bake individual cupcakes and frost them in white. While leaving many plain, top some with strawberries and others with blueberries, than place them on a tray in the order of the colors of the flag. Your guests are sure to love them.
Whatever type of food you decide to serve at your 4th of July party, keeping it simple is always best. Burgers, hot dogs and dips are still the all-time favorites. You can add virtually any side dish, any dessert and any type of appetizer to your menu and find those that will love it. The only rules to consider about food for the 4th of July is that it should be something that does not require fine china, something that can handle being out in the sun and something that is all about fun eating. You can come up with your own fun menu of foods, but don’t forget the traditional fare.
