(Free-Press-Release.com) December 6, 2011 -- TAIPEI, TAIWAN – November 6th, 2011 - 4ipnet, Inc., a leading wireless networking device provider for manageable, reliable, and secure wireless access, announced the release of its new carrier grade feature: High Availability, integrated within Gigabit Secure WLAN Controller WHG707.

High Availability (HA) approach taken by 4ipnet uses a “1+1” redundancy design to achieve higher service availability with minimum impact during service transitions. The solution architecture adopted is a Primary / Secondary Controller pair where the Primary Controller will be servicing all network traffic while the Secondary Controller updates status events in real time and is ready to take over the network service in case the Primary Controller malfunctions. The hot-standby design of the Secondary Controller implies immediate service switch over, thus considerably improves service availability.

4ipnet’s HA feature is software controllable for individual Controller, achieving flexibility and scalability where operator can easily transform their existing network to a network with HA after a subsequent purchase of another Controller.
