Acquire links from variety of sources: When it comes to link building, quantity is not the sole criterion. Getting bulk of links from a small base of sites won’t do much good. Acquire links from related sites: Links from same industry are highly valued. If for instance your website is related to home loans then having links from a real estate website makes more sense. Not only the probability of getting relevant traffic but also the value of link increases.
Acquire links from Authority sites: Authority domains are websites which considered having relevant and reliable content. These can be government and educational websites. Getting links from such sites is very difficult but some creative thinking may get you links.
Acquire links from local sites: If you have a local audience or customer base then getting links from websites which target the local population will yield rich dividends. Getting link from local business associations, organisations and businesses will give you more credibility and relevancy.
