Miami, Florida, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) December 28, 2010 -- Miami, FL (December 26, 2010) -- Two local Miami figures – City of Sweetwater Mayor Manny Maroño and Jorge Forte, former North Bay Village city manager, have formed 7 Strategies, LLC, a public affairs and business development firm.

7 Strategies LLC was named, by the principals, in tribute to Governor-Elect Rick Scott’s 7-step plan to create 700,000 jobs in 7 years. The principals of 7 Strategies believe this is the right approach for Florida, and look forward to assisting Florida businesses in their efforts to grow by providing strategic relation consulting skills to businesses in order to forge better ties to the public sector.

In addition to serving his second term as Mayor of City of Sweetwater, Maroño is Second Vice President for the Florida League of Cities and is slated to be its President in 2012. Maroño is also a founding board member of the Florida League of Mayors.

Maroño was an early supporter of Governor-Elect Scott and is humbled to be part of Scott’s Transition Team, helping to ensure that a top-notch team of agency leaders and appointed officials are selected to the Scott administration. As such, Maroño will not directly represent clients before administrative agencies to ensure no conflicts of interest.
Furthermore, as the current Mayor of Sweetwater, Maroño will not represent any clients in that jurisdiction.
