As the industry moves towards an a all-IP platform, there is a constant dilemma between n maintaining video quality and contr rolling the CPU consumption of an all-IP environmen nt. With the “On-Demand Display” feature ffound in v8.4, there will no longer be a need to comppromise the two. This feature enables autommatic adjustment of live view resolution to produce e high image quality without increasing CP PU consumption. The system will use high resolution n streaming when using view modes tthat require higher quality images (i.e. single view o or PIP/PAP mode), and switch to low resolution n streaming in live view in modes where higher reso olution does not make a difference (i.e. 16--channel screen division).

• Higher Resolution Streaming

The camera image in the middle e has a resolution of 1152 x 648, so the higher re esolution streaming will be used because 11152 x 648 is bigger than the selected 640 x 48 80.

• Lower Resolution Streaming

After switching to 16channel scr reen division, the resolution for each channel is 480 x 270, which is smaller than the se elected 640 x 480, so the lower resolution stream ming will be used.
