Toronto, Canada -GAO RFID Asset Tracking (www.GAORFIDAssetTracking.com) has launched this UHF Gen2 Pino RFID tag. It is designed to enable cost-effective and reliable tracking of wooden pallets, which are one of the main transit item platforms used globally. This UHF tag is also ideal for identifying similar wooden items from timber to finished structures.
The Pino tag, model 116404, operates over a frequency range of 865MHz to 928MHz, enabling it to be used worldwide, and offers a maximum read distance of 4 meters. The tag is compliant with EPC Class 1 Gen 2 communication protocol. It has been successfully tested in stacked pallet tracking where the tags have been in the corner blocks enabling visibility to the readers even when handled with forklift trucks. It is able to be read even on wood that contains moisture. This ultra high frequency RFID tag incorporates a NXP XM chip, EPC memory and additional memory for user specific information storage. It operates at a temperature range from -20°C to 85°C and provides reliable performance in harsh conditions.
