A Biography of The Honourable Justin Etzin

The Honourable Justin Etzin is a leading international entrepreneur in corporate and consumer hospitality as well as residential and commercial boutique construction and development. Aside from his business interests, Etzin is also involved in politics in the Seychelles and in November 2009, was appointed The Seychelles Consul General for the United States of America.
Etzin is probably best known however for designing and developing high-profile entertainment and business complexes worldwide.

Three years ago he founded Altitude 360, with the first of the franchises based in London’s iconic 387 ft-high Millbank Tower.
Described as London’s most exclusive event complex, Altitude 360 offers incredible views in the heart of Westminster and was officially opened by the then leader of the Conservative Party, The Rt Hon David Cameron, in September 2007.
Altitude 360 is part of Altitude London, which now comprises The View Studios, The River Room and The Milbank Media Centre. Together the four venues occupy over 30,000 sq ft and form the largest venue complex in a London skyscraper.

Altitude 360 was used in May 2008 by The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, for his campaigning and election party; the venue was subsequently relaunched by Johnson when it doubled in size in October 2009. In addition, The Milbank Media Centre was used in spring 2010 by David Cameron and the Conservative Party as their election campaign headquarters and it was from here that David Cameron became UK Prime Minster & the party took power in May 2010.
Altitude London has hosted numerous high profile events, from world wide product launches for the likes of Microsoft, Skype, Google & Procter & Gamble to political events such as Senator John McCain's European US Presidency Campaign Speech. The venue is also frequented by celebrities and personalities like Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Kate Moss, Lily Allen, David Walliams, Prince Andrew and The Duchess of York who held The African Caribbean Leukaemia Ball here in her official capacity as Patron.

Altitude London was also chosen to launch British Tourism Week hosted by HRH Prince Charles and then Prime Minister Gordon Brown. The 2012 British Olympic Committee is also using the venues for the forthcoming games and it was recently chosen by FIFA to host its key 2018 World Cup bid launch event.
Further Altitude 360 locations are planned for Paris, Geneva and New York, whilst the concept now operates as a franchise opportunity in countries across the world.


The son of Bernard Etzin, founder of the multi billion dollar Brother International Empire, Justin was born in Hong Kong. He spent his early years living between here and the Seychelles, where his father was made Hong Kong’s Hon Consul to the Seychelles by Queen Elizabeth II.

The Etzin family moved to the UK when Justin was eight years old. Four years later, he started his first business, car washing, targeting customers of Harrods and other local stores who parked on meters close to his house. By 13, he was running a market stall on the Kings Road selling the latest gadgets that he imported specially from Hong Kong.
While at Bedales School, Justin developed what would become a life-long passion for charity work. He was the school’s Chairman of Amnesty International and his money-raising initiatives for one of the first Comic Relief events earned him a Gold Nose, a prize that was given to him personally by the charity’s founder, comedian Lenny Henry.

It was also at school that Etzin continued to hone his entrepreneurial skills. At the age of 13, he founded an entertainment company, Capital VIP, which organised events for teenagers from public schools across the UK. The offspring of politicians, celebrities and even British and foreign royalty all attended what the press dubbed “The Most Exclusive Teenage Parties in the World”.
By the age of 18 Justin was running events at some of London's trendiest clubs, including Browns, China White, Cafe de Paris and Attica. ‘A’ listers such as Madonna, Prince, Nicole Kidman, Puff Daddy and Michael Jordan were regular attendees, with many of these VIP guests asking him to organise their own launches and private parties.

After attending Oxford Brookes University, Etzin went on to set up a multitude of different businesses. When Mercedes Benz launched the Smart Car all over Europe, but decided that the model wouldn’t work in the UK, Etzin decided to prove them wrong. He subsequently marketed the vehicle as a fuel efficient green car and sold over 100 units in a matter of months. His passion for cars took him across the world on five Gumball 3000 Celebrity Rallys. Etzin even went on to set up a specialist car rental company, providing vehicles to the film and entertainment industry with locations in London and Los Angeles.
Other successful ventures included London’s first fine dining restaurant food delivery company, magazine publishing and a water sports centre. He also ran a successful film location company which worked on everything from Hollywood movies such as Woody Allen's first ever UK film, Match Point, through to TV series like Footballers Wives.

Today Etzin’s business interests remain as diverse as ever. In the Seychelles he is the owner of Seychelles Capital, a privately funded investment and development company. He is also in the early planning stages of an eco development project In the Seychelles consisting of a Boutique Hotel & Spa with 20 freehold private residences.
He is also actively involved in a self-funded charitable foundation, The Etzin Foundation, which provides support for the terminally ill and funds life-saving medical equipment for hospitals.
