A fatal crash involving a tractor-trailer unit hauling hay shuts Westbound lanes of Interstate-44 for several hours.

Westbound lanes of Interstate-44 east of Lebanon were closed for several hours Thursday evening.

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 1, 2011 -- A fatal crash involving a tractor-trailer unit hauling hay shuts Westbound lanes of Interstate-44 for several hours.

Westbound lanes of Interstate-44 east of Lebanon were closed for several hours Thursday evening after a fatal crash involving a tractor-trailer unit hauling hay.

The accident happened shortly before 5 p.m., and westbound traffic was still being diverted to alternate routes at 9:15 p.m., according to the Missouri Highway Patrol, Troop I, in Rolla, Montana.

The patrol has not yet released the name of the person who died in the crash.
