The 9th Discovering Latin America Film Festival (18th to 28th November) starts in great style in London

(Free-Press-Release.com) November 19, 2010 -- LONDON - A full Odeon Covent Garden witnessed last night the opening gala of the ninth edition of the Discovering Latin America Film Festival (9th DLAFF) with a screening of the Mexican feature Tear This Heart Out (2008).

Discovering Latin America (DLA) president Mauricio Davila and the festival’s directors Stephen Hart (main photo to the left) and German Martins welcomed guests together with sponsors Journey Latin America and Guaraná, and media partner El Iberico.

Several Latin American Embassies representatives were present on the red carpet to help promote the 9th Discovering Latin America Film Festival (DLAFF) and support the charity Salvadorian Children Earthquake Trust (Salcet).

After a short introduction by Mauricio Davila, Tear This Heat Out (2008) inspired emotional reactions that ranged laughters to tears. Ana Claudia’ Talacón’s impecable performance as Catalina was a promising start to the 9th Discovering Latin America Film Festival.
