A forced smile and a diaphragm propelled laugh really did make the pounding in my head go away, this just about an hour ago, amazing what the brain is capable of. I also pulled down the colors today because summer winds really took a toll on old glory. I sewed her one red strip where the stitching lost it's grip and just needed to be re-threaded. As I attempted to separate the bracket from the pole, the bracket failed and came apart at the middle. Drilled two holes to join the one left on the top part of the bracket that held the pole, screwed in three self tapping screws, and away I went. That was my only task today and forced at that, only because I didn't want to go to the store and buy a new one because this one will fly until the last man and woman come home and out of harms way, that of the Taliban or some other radical faction that is, because we all know we need to pull our heads out of our ass here at home. You can only own so much, but you will never be able to help our country as much as you would really like to, and this only because of your desire to sustain a little peace of world you can call your own. So more often than not we forget why and how we are able to live free and pursue what ever it is that makes us happy. If material things are what makes you happy, then so be it, just try to remember why it is you have this ability. A great number of people seem to forget that to be a good American you must give more than take. To the one still in the fight I say come home safe. Sianara
