Yoga is fantastic! I have been practicing yoga for many years; I can say without any doubts, it really transformed my life. At the beginning it was a bit awkward to sit there and meditate, which off course is a part of doing yoga, but after a few sessions I felt at ease and ready to go. What is so good then about yoga and meditation?
Yoga is a way of being and becoming; it’s a way of relating differently with yourself and nature. It’s a way of communicating with your inner self, now someone will laugh when start talking about your spiritual side and shy away from it. Well maybe yoga is not for everybody but the World is changing, stress is in everyone life and going to the gym or for a workout after a day work has become harder and harder.
Yoga then, has become a healthy alternative, not only for women, but even men are growing in number in this new but ancient discipline. The combination of yoga and meditation has been proven by many tests to be as efficient as a physical work out. What are the main benefits of practicing yoga?
Yoga can make our body flexible and strong along with cardiovascular health. It can increase flexibility and its various positions exercise the tendons and ligaments of the body. It ensures the optimum blood supply to different parts of the body through stretching muscles, joints and massaging various organs. Yoga and meditation goes together since meditative practices helps achieve emotional balance through detachment.
Well, I noticed that you don’t have to go to a special place to do yoga, for instance you don’t need to go to the gym or have an instructor even if you are a beginner: yoga can be a moment for yourself. I like practicing yoga at night when my kid has gone to sleep: I sit there, soften the lights a little and start with simple poses. It’s really relaxing, as a mum is a time all for myself after a day doing everything for other people.
To go into more details yoga has six divisions: hatha yoga, raja, karma, bhakti, jnana and tantra yoga. These six branches has its own unique characteristics that represents a particular approach to life wherein some people find one particular branch which they consider as more inviting than the other. You can choose what kind of Yoga you're going to try and you already know the benefits you can gain from it.
It is being suggested that morning is the best time to do Yoga before eating breakfast and also early evening around sunset. Yoga is said to be less workout, even though it is being considered as an exercise, since it focuses more on mind-body exploration.
Yoga helps people to concentrate positive energy on an afflicted area as well; it alleviates any adverse symptoms and feelings that are being manifested through any physical pain or an ailment. Yoga not only works on a physical plane, it works on one mental state too. Check out my site for more info
