A Gulf War Vet Denied As Accounts Are Intercepted By The White House and Diverted From President and First Family
Gulf War Lieutenant William J. Simmons, Sr. rolls out patients with one of his ambulance drivers, Pvt. Comer. As Lieutenant Rosemounda “Peggy” Butler assisted in getting this patient to the ambulance to be transported to the airfield at KKMC. During the evacuation process, patients were evacuated to southern Saudi Arabia, Germany and eventually to the United States. Little did Lieutenant Butler or Lieutenant Simmons realized that one of them would soon be evacuated due to health issues. Lt. Butler would later begin to have trouble with her extremities and would be evacuated out of country by Lt. Simmons and his ambulance drives. Little did they know that this was the beginning of the Gulf War Syndrome that eventually would reap havoc on many Gulf War Veterans who served. Some would eventually become severely ill and die.
When Lt. Simmons returned back to the US, his wife began to have miscarriages and Simmons thought that this was strange. It would become stranger as Lt. Simmons began to develop rashes, uncontrolled sweating, joint pains, memory issues, PTSD, etc… Even more stranger, his wife at the time nearly died after the birth of his son not only once but on several occasions. This is a story in itself – Conspiracy.
After being discharged on April 1, 1992, Simmons would later become an advocate for Veterans. After this calling to fight for those who could not fight for themselves, Simmons believes that he was targeted by his own Government and the people that he swore to protect. Simmons believes that the check that was written to Gulf War Veterans has been returned as “Insufficient Funds.” Years later Simmons would run into Butler who had several leg surgeries and other health issues that they both believe were a result of the Gulf War experience. Simmons would later run across Sgt. Johnny Shealy who told Simmons that he had to keep quiet about his exposure to the Gulf War that eventually led to him losing 4 of his vertebrates in his spine. Simmons was outraged about this cover-up and conspiracy. One of the slaps in the face was when Simmons’s Platoon Sgt. William “Vance” Parker who was Caucasian did not receive the proper care and compensation later and had a massive stroke in 2005 and died. Simmons continues to ask how many more will die who could have been saved if it was not for non-empathetic minds of those who only care about their on selfishness.
These are only a few of the encounters that Simmons experience for serving a nation that he thought appreciated his services, but continues to overlook his medical claims. Simmons believes that God will eventually write the wrongs into rights. “May God Save and Bless America…”
