November 9, 2011

With millions of mom blogs and sites all over the world, it's difficult to where you should gather your motherhood information from. WikiMommy is born! A site created, edited, and updated by moms!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) November 9, 2011 -- After Heather Armstrong, made her debut as the first mom blogger, websites and blogs created by moms began appearing from different parts of the world. Moms began writing to vent personal feelings, including those of frustration, loneliness, and sometimes even depression. Moms saw the relief and moments of peace when they can sit down with their thoughts and detail the events of their life to a possible world of readers who they may never meet, but would be interested in what they have to say.

The Feminine Mystique, written by Betty Friedan, was about the unhappiness of women during the 1950s through the 1960s. She describes the details of the sad life of women, despite being in a family with a loving husband, children, and comfortable surroundings. College women sought to go to college, not necessarily to receive an education or learn, but to meet their husbands. Then once they have accomplished their goal, what next? These were often questions that lingered, but had no solutions that solved the mystery of the great depression in the households.

Almost 50 years later, the "problem that has no name" as Friedan describes, still takes place, but in moderation. As mom bloggers rise, their need to spend time with their thoughts and the information that will be published, has done well to keep their focus away from disturbing family drama. In addition, the health situations that were once contributed by depression have slowly decreased. Moms have more to talk about with their daily finds of interesting blogs and newly formed friendships as well as more of a desire to get through life. The moms are finding that they aren't alone with whatever troubles them. Their writing and expression of personal thoughts have drawn like minded moms together, giving them a sense of relief.

After mom bloggers grew and their readership rose, marketers began to see their pages as opportunities. Mom bloggers were receiving tremendous amounts of online traffic, along with groups of loyal followers and unique visitors. Many websites struggled to gain the type of traffic these mom blogs had. In time, product reviews multiplied, giveaways increased to promote products, and opportunities for mom bloggers rose.

As we move into 2012 and mom blogs grow into the millions, an overwhelming cluster of information written by moms surrounds the internet. Even with such communities as voiceBoks.com and mombloggersclub.com, moms are beginning to spread themselves too thin, with countless hours in front of the internet, trying to expand their readership and online exposure. Moms spend a significant amount of time building their social media exposure, recreating and fixing their websites to fit the latest styles and widgets onto their platforms, and finding other ways to build the readership they desire.

As moms spend their waking moments with their blogging activities, their times with their family also lack the attention. And as readership improves, so does the desire and sometimes obsession to keep going, hoping for that moment when someone will eventually make them a great offer. Whether they are noticed to do product reviews, write articles, or even appear on television, the majority of these mom bloggers are determined to be that lucky individual.

Mom bloggers, Ro Little the creator of Mommy Blog Designs and Lexie Lane from voiceBoks - The Voice of Motherhood, have joined their talents and knowledge of the mommy blog community to bring all valuable mommy blog information together. They are proud to present WikiMommy, a site built from the same platform and software as Wikipedia. With enhanced keywords, quality backlinks, and a sophisticated, powerful software and database, WikiMommy can guarantee great results. This site seeks to keep moms and their information united into one area, while having the ability to grow and build their online traffic. Wikipedia has offered the best outcome of results for millions of information written by at least 100,000 volunteers all over the world. WikiMommy seeks to do the same with the information provided by moms so that their info does not go unnoticed.

Before going further into the details of the website itself, it is important to understand the minds behind the idea. Ro Little is not just your typical multi-tasker of a mom. She is also filled with creative and insightful ideas. She is self-taught and has successfully created and launched two of her own personal websites. She also has a portfolio of 16 other websites of which she designed herself. The idea of WikiMommy was one of those creative and insightful ideas that just switched her on.

Lexie Lane is the mother of voiceBoks, also known as The Voice of Motherhood. With a Bachelors degree in Business Management, Lane has successful learned how to manage the business of the moms throughout her site. After only 7 months of being live, voiceBoks has gained a Google rank of 4 and an Alexa rating of 17,000 Globally. Despite the average of 650 actual members registered on the site, voiceBoks still gains anywhere from a low 10,000 visits per day to a high of 20,000 visits per day. Why? The community is strong with moms who have found friendships and true connections with one another. voiceBoks has been their source of communication with one another.

Ro Little's creative mind and Lexie Lane's business and computer skills were a collaboration of a great idea. Hence, the birth of WikiMommy.

The website is fully functional by visitors and members, allowing the insertion of articles, stories, images, and good, valid material that all moms love to know. Just like many article submission websites, WikiMommy does have a set of guidelines that users must abide by. With the many newbie mom writers and even those who feel they are technologically challenged many websites are becoming too "messy" and clustered with a mishmash of information. Therefore, in an effort to keep the frustration minimized with seeking valid or relevant information, WikiMommy puts great emphasis in abiding by their guidelines.

WikiMommy provides a platform filled with groups of information that are of highest interest to moms. 16 portals divided into several other portals help moms navigate through their articles of choice in a much more efficient manner.

Moms can contribute as well as gather information from family life to education, recipes, giveaways, hobbies, tips and tricks that surround the blogosphere, and more!
