A must for all heating engineers
A must for all heating engineers
Every domestic oil fired installation in the UK is fitted with a remote acting fire valve.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) February 25, 2012 --
Fire valves tend to be ‘fit and forget’ and as they are very rarely required to operate under the conditions for which they were intended, nobody knows if they fully operate or not.
Heat Bits has the answer, whereby we provide a safe and reliable fire valve tester. All you have to do is plug the tester in, set the temperature on the thermostat, insert the fire valve phial into the pocket on the tester and the valve should operate by closing the oil supply line. If it doesn’t it needs replacing. This is such an easy and simple way to check that the fire valve is in complete working order.
The tester can also be used to test the limit thermostat, another item on a boiler, which is very rarely tested. With exactly the same procedure being adopted, all you have to do is set the tester at a higher temperature. It really could not be any simpler!
For additional safety, coupled with peace of mind, the fire valve tester is a must.
