Dexterity MRO is designed to manage all aspects of the Engineering Stores. MRO engineering parts can be any item needed to keep the factory running and includes all the things used to repair and maintain the whole fabric of the manufacturing facility. Engineering stores contain all kinds of items, some used every day and some used once in a year, but they all have one thing in common, a lack of the part can stop production or shut the factory. Dex-MRO is designed from the ground up to keep a track of every part, its location, usage, minimum order quantity, supplier and delivery lead time. It reports when minimum levels are reached and gives full details of re-order quantities and who the primary and other suppliers are. Cost centers and works order numbers are automatically recorded and outstanding orders tracked to ensure prompt delivery.

Engineers are offered powerful tools to instantly search the system and once the part is located and added to a works order, the engineer is guided to the correct location using barcode driven mobile data terminals. Once at the location the engineer scans the location barcode and confirms the part is correct, before continuing to pick the rest of the order from the next location.

Real time data capture into the WiFi enabled terminal, means that the parts picked are immediately removed from inventory, applied to a work order and allocated to a cost center. There is no need for the engineers to write any paperwork of remember to download the terminal, the system automatically records every transaction. At the end of each shift or day, Dex-MRO produces a report with order requests for all items which have reached their minimum stock level and a summery of all parts on order but not delivered or past their expected due date.

Primary and other suppliers can also be set up for every part, so that an alternative can be sourced if a delivery problem arises. The stores manager can quickly set up new items using easy to use input and management screens. In addition data can be exported to Excel or other database formats and reports can be viewed on screen or printed to a local printer. New barcode labels can be designed and printed from within Dexterity, so that the barcode data is totally accurate.
