A Selah truck driver James Spicer,57 died in an accident when he collided head-on with another semi-tractor on State Route 221 of Prosser.

Washington, Washington, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) November 15, 2011 -- The Washington State Patrol identified the deceased as James Spicer.

Spicer was pronounced dead at Kadlec Medical Center in Richland following the 10:50 p.m. accident that occurred 14 miles south of Prosser.

The driver of the other truck, identified as Dale Stenquist, 58, of Logan, Utah, suffered minor injuries but was not transported to a hospital.

Spicer was driving a 2002 Peterbilt south on State Route 221 when the vehicle crossed the center line and collided with Stenquist’s 2011 Peterbilt.

Both trucks were destroyed in the accident.

The cause remains under investigation. Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Involvement by alcohol or drugs is unknown at this time.

The highway was closed in both directions until 7:50 a.m. Detours were available on local roads.
