Video from Air15 showed the commercial vehicle on its side blocking the right lane of northbound I-17 near Table Mesa Road around 7 a.m.
Footage showed the accident creating an initially minor backup
the backup was reported to be more than 13 miles long as of 1 p.m.
The freeway re-opened around 1:45 p.m.
A Daisy Mountain Fire Department spokesman said two people inside the truck were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Air15 footage over I-17 showed the top of the trailer ripped off and the truck's contents, more than 575 boxes of lettuce, spilling onto the dirt area alongside the roadway.
