(Free-Press-Release.com) March 27, 2011 -- For the first time ever, the owner of A Step Away an Orson Welles docudrama, official Olympic film of the 1979 Panamerican Games, has placed all movie rights, footage, audio, images and the movie itself up for sale. Considering the marketing window of the XVI Panamerican Games to be held in Guadalajara, Mexico in October 2011, we believe that only prestigious companies should be given the unique investment opportunity to own, broadcast and/or distribute this one-of-a-kind historic sports film.

It’s a film titled A Step Away, the English version, narrated by Orson Welles and the Spanish version A Solo un Paso, narrated by Carlos Montalban, widely known as The Golden Voice of the Americas. This award-winning documentary encompasses a variety of relevant, never before seen footage, depicting a collage of personal stories, including stories commencing in 1975 Panamerican Games in Mexico, 1976 Montreal Olympiad, 1978 Edmonton Games in Canada, ending in the 1979 Panamerican Games in Puerto Rico up to the 1980 Olympiad boycotted by president Jimmy Carter and other nations. In 1981 this film was placed in a time capsule until 2010, when it was restored and digital remastered. A bilingual test titled “Pre-Release” of 1000 copies was made and immediately sold-out.

A Step Away has never been marketed worldwide nor released outside Puerto Rico (be it in 35 mm, vhs, dvd, soundtrack album) or in any other format.

A Step Away gained national and international recognition and garnered more than 20 national and international awards, standing out among them, New York Film Festival – Gold Medal, United Nations – Historic Document to Promote World Peace and Pan-American Games Organizing Committee, Best Olympic Film.
