A TIGER in the DARK nears it's end. The saga that inspired hundreds comes to a close...but the story is far from over!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) December 24, 2011 -- [This is a re-Release of the document issued on December 14, 2011 by A TIGER in the DARK Productions, LLC and PR Web]

Nearly five years later the film that has inspired hundreds of people across the country, won numerous awards at festivals around the globe and which has shown the world just how powerful dreams can truly be is nearing it's end. The latest installment, A TIGER in the DARK: DECADENCE, Pt. 2: INDESTRUCTIBLE is by far the most important part of the saga to date. Those people who are familiar with the series will remember how Chloe and Sam seemed to be the catalyst that drove Drew to the brink of madness. Yet, in the lastest chapter audiences will come to learn just how the "virus" overtook Drew, why and how he was forced into pit fights in the dark of night in New York City to face off against vicious gang members and lastly how this one event began a "decade of decadence." Drew Evans was quoted at a recent film festival as saying, "This [film] is the only reason I want to continue to make this series [A TIGER in the DARK]." He continued and said. "It's a different story now...People that think they know [these films] will come to learn they know nothing at all." He sat in a seat behind a panel where he was shortly about to give a lecture and concluded by saying, "I feel sorry for those ignorant people that judged this film [in 2009] thinking it was merely a love story when in fact the "true" story is only just beginning." Many people whom attended a December 2011 fundraising event [for A TIGER In the DARK] held in New York City at the Producers Club [where the pervious two short films were screened for the last time to the general public] were both amazed and shocked to hear that Drew Evans was intent on ending the series with such a provocative and controversial film. It was recently announced that the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America] has informed the producers that the film may very well receive a "NC-17" for the intense violence and sexual situations when released to Netflix, Itunes and Amazon VOD in 2012; the DVD rating is yet to be determined. Unlike it's predecessors "INDESTRUCTIBLE" shares little to no connection at all with the previous feature film, FINAL CONFLICT and is in fact a prequel story that ends with current events of which will forever change what people thought they knew about "A TIGER in the DARK" and Drew Evans himself. Drew Evans once hinted at the fact that "a much deeper story was on the horizon" though few people could have ever imagined what he was referring to. The film begins by picking up in a time familiar to many; 1999; the supposed time said to have "started it all." It begins as a narrative and then transitions to the year 1997; two years before Drew met Chloe and Sam for that matter. Kevin Sharp; the UPM (Unit Production Manager) for the film said at a press conference in New York, "This film will scare the Hell out of you...This time there is no "Virus" there is only facts of which are depicted in such a way that to believe one person could experience such agony is unthinkable." The events as described in the film are indeed real and forced the producers including Drew Evans to track down many of the actual people some of whom are imprisoned for life in jails across the east coast simply to get permission to use their likeness and partial story in the upcoming film. "To track down many of these individuals by telephone was excruciating; it took nearly four months. In many cases we had to contact an attorney just to get permission to speak to an inmate," Drew Evans said. "I never thought we'd get here," Drew exhaled a sigh of relief. "After numerous re-casts, delays and production problems [on A TIGER in the DARK: DOOMSDAY; released to a limited audience in 2010] I thought we surely saw the last of these films." He scowled and continued, "Yet, as the tagline on our poster says: Payback's a bitch." He laughed then left the room. Mitchell Mack, who has played the role of Virus D since 2011 said, "I feel sorry for those people who didn't believe in this film...True that our production budget and overall team was much, much smaller, however seeing the scope of the project now and how far these films have come makes me happy I stuck out all those years," Mitchell seemed overjoyed, "What we as a team have done and what we are going to do in the coming years will have many people regretting their choices." Drew Evans and those close to him harbor no animosity though feel a sense of loss as they finish the series unable to share their success with those that helped kick start the entire project. A TIGER in the DARK: INDESTRUCTIBLE is scheduled for a summer 2012 release immediately following A TIGER in the DARK: FINAL CONFLICT. The film will be distributed to limited theaters and be available on Netflix, ITunes and Amazon VOD by Christmas 2012.
