Former Building Society Manager and Mortgage Broker, Pam Oliver from Chapel House has opened an office in Throckley and formed A1 Debt Advisory Solutions Ltd, to help people escape from the downward spiral of misery associated with debt problems.
Although Pam has previously had a very successful career in the financial world, she herself is no stranger to the effects of having to manage depleting finances when an unexpected event changed her lifestyle overnight.

“I was a very successful Mortgage Account Manager with offices in London and the North East when the banking crisis hit the business I was in. I was made redundant and went from having a very good salary to earning nothing at all, “said Pam. “I had to work out how to pay my mortgage, loans and credit card bills. It was a very harrowing experience and all through no fault of my own. There are many people with similar stories to mine and I’ve been able to help them sort out their creditors and manage their payments in a way which is affordable and relatively stress free.”

Pam believes that her previous experiences are one of the main reasons why she can identify with her clients and offer them the best practical, confidential and impartial advice to suit their particular circumstances. Typically, Pam helps restructure her client’s monthly payments leaving them enough money to pay for day to day essentials such as food, mortgages, rent and household bills. One of Pam’s success stories relates to a client from Plessey Road in Blyth, a pensioner who found herself in a spiralling debt situation.
