Aaron Carter: MJ a Bad Influence

July 01, 2011 - Maybe due to Michael Jackson fames, his incredible music, I don’t blame his adoring fans to continually treat him like a demigod or something, but me, being not fooled with the PR’s work who make any foul-sounding name into a sweet one. No, not label me as MJ’s haters too; I respect him as much as respect other human being, not because of his fame, that is for sure. For fans that are blinded with the fact that MJ had this affinity and affection to kids may continue t praise the singer, but then other rational beings will start to question how innocent his intentions are for sure.

The lately ranting of Aaron Carter, catches the attention of the public, whether is he telling the truth or not, or this is just a part of media hype, a sort of marketing and advertising tactic if compared to product and services. Talking something controversial will surely catches the public attention. It is comparable to catalog printing or brochure printing of any product that will surely rake up sales in no time. With no established career and no future recording and album launching on sight, Aaron will certainly make a noise to somehow revive his dormant career.

Back to business, Carter stated that the late pop star gave him drugs when he was just 15 years old. The 23-year-old told Australia’s OK! magazine that he spend incredible times with Jackson during his teenage years, but that the friendship eventually became uncomfortable. It is publicly known that Carter had his share of troubles over the years; including being arrested and investigated of marijuana possession, and entering a treatment facility for emotional and spiritual issues. These unfortunate events eventually ruin his image as an adorable little boy singing “Crazy little Party Girl” which extinguishes his sizzling and booming career at his young age.

Take the case of Macaulay Culkin, another young star that MJ became close with during the height of Home Alone movie. Culkin was 10 years old at that time. But then his parents had been too trusting to repeatedly stay at Neverland Ranch and even allowed the kid to go to vacation with Jackson to different places. Coincidence or not, both kids had the same fate, as Culkin had drug issues too.

Whether Carter is telling the truth, somehow skeptics will think that the embattled young singer is just using the fame of the late pop star to somehow resuscitate his dying career. Why did carter just suddenly blurt it all out during MJ’s second death anniversary? This kind of promotion is acceptable when it comes to celebrities, though it may not be totally all good, the society had been used to it.
