ABELARD CONSTRUCTION GIVES BACK FOR THE HOLIDAYS

(Free-Press-Release.com) December 16, 2009 -- INDIANAPOLIS, INDIANA – DECEMBER 16, 2009 – When Brian Southard and Anthony Delmedico, founders of Abelard Construction, heard the needs of the families right in their own communities this holiday season, they were quick to respond.

Along with their employees from the Indianapolis and Atlanta Abelard Construction offices, they are making this a Christmas to remember for six local families who are in need of a little help this year.

“The team at Abelard has found three families in Indianapolis and three in Atlanta who need our help this year,” said Abelard president Anthony Delmedico. “I’m delighted to see the enthusiasm of our employees for this project!”

While the wish lists from each family do contain toys and games for the kids, they also contain the basic necessities of life, illustrating just how much these families are struggling during these tough economic times.

“One family we are helping this year is living out of a hotel, and does not have a car – their children are ages 13, 12 and 7 – and Christmas time is looking pretty bleak for them this year,” said Brian Southard, co-founder of Abelard Construction. “The items on their wish lists are just heart-breaking – winter coats, clothes, shoes – the necessities of life.”

Abelard employees, along with co-founders Southard and Delmedico, will be shopping this week for the wish list items, and then personally delivering the gifts to each family this Friday, December 18th.

“Abelard Construction started out as a business helping people make it through tough times resulting from storms, accidents, or other unforeseen home maintenance requirements,” says Kelly Penrose, Human Resources Director at Abelard. “We see this opportunity of helping families in need in our community as an extension of what we do every day, and a way to demonstrate our appreciation for the communities we serve.
