Achieve Clinical Research Announces Smoking Cessation Research Studies in Birmingham, Alabama

Achieve Clinical Research, a privately owned research facility, announces the launch of several research studies to test investigational treatment options for smoking cessation.

Vestavia Hills, Alabama, United States of America (Free-Press-Release.com) September 27, 2011 -- Birmingham, Alabama - Achieve Clinical Research, a privately owned research facility, founded in 1998 in Birmingham, Alabama, announces the launch of several research studies to test investigational treatment options for smoking cessation.

“Through clinical research studies, we can strive to significantly build on data previously conducted on smoking cessation," says Hayes Williams, MD, PhD., the Medical Director and Principal Investigator at Achieve Clinical Research since 2001. "Treatments for smoking cessation are one of the research studies we are pleased to continue with at Achieve Clinical Research. Our systemic evaluation clinical research trials are designed specifically to test the safety and efficacy of treatments for humans."

The research studies will enroll those who have a nicotine addiction and need assistance to quit.

To be considered by Achieve Clinical Research for this trail you must:

Use more than 10 cigarettes per day
Not have a history of alcohol or substance abuse within the previous 5 years
Not have any evidence or treatment of malignancy within the previous 5 years
Not have a history of alcohol or substance abuse within the previous 5 years

Not have used an investigational drug or participated in an investigational study within 30 days of screening
Not be pregnant
Not be breast-feeding




Achieve Clinical Research will provide participants with study related care, including physical examinations, laboratory services and study medications. Participants will also be compensated for time and travel. Achieve is currently enrolling adults aged 18-75 a smoking cessation study in Birmingham, AL.
