ACPWC Supports Our Troops... And Their Spouses!

(Free-Press-Release.com) February 7, 2010 -- The Military Spouses Program has been created to allow spouses of active duty troops to obtain funding for education benefits.

The Association of Certified Professional Wedding Consultants (ACPWC) is a national organization celebrating 19 years of industry experience with a comprehensive training and certification program for wedding consultants.

The assocoation offers personalized training courses for people who would like to become wedding consultants or church/facility coordinators. It also offers a home study program for those with challenging schedules or those who want to learn at their own pace. Graduates have the opportunity to achieve Professional and Certified status through membership in the Association. Members not only receive valuable information, but also benefit from the continuing education support system.

The home study program is a great option for military spouses as they often find it difficult to pursue a career while they move across the country -- or around the globe. Starting up a home business is one way to earn extra income and have a career that will move when they do.

The president of the association, Deborah Moody, states "I am particularly pleased that the ACPWC is able to participate in this program. Not only is it a great way to support the troops indirectly, but it allows us the opportunity to assist people in achieving their dreams. This certification program teaches a valuable skill that may be used in various locations all over the world."

ACPWC graduate and National Public Relations Chairperson Amy Frugoli was the wife of an active duty Army soldier who was deployed to Saudi Arabia during Operation Desert Storm. Frugoli says "It would have been so beneficial to have a program like this when my husband was deployed. It would have been helpful by keeping me focused on a goal instead of the [Desert Storm] media. By the time he came home, I would have had a new career!"
