Adventure Obstacle Mud Run in Bartow Florida on July 23, 2011.

The Highlander will be a race that many people will be talking about for a long time. We will have obstacles that no other Adventure Race has had before. A giant water-slide that will take you sliding a very long way down a huge hill into a beautiful pit of mud. Balance beams above mud, ropes to swing on, dark tunnels to crawl through, walls to climb and many other "surprises! The Highlander will have a special place set up for the spectators to sit in shade and be able to look down into the valley and see almost all of the 3 mile course and watch as all the "Highlanders" fight their way to the finish!
This is a beautiful piece of peoperty that is only 40 minutes from downtown Tampa and about and hour from Orlando. The location is just 5 miles east of Bartow Florida on Hwy 60. Many elevation changes are waiting for you! An ice cold beer to each participant, great music playing, trophies to all 5 year age groups, awesome t-shirts and great food!
