Stop UBC Animal Research will stage “UBC’s Monkey Death Row” to protest the university’s experiments on monkeys. Will include activists dressed as monkeys in bright orange jail suits, in chains.

At 12:30, Thursday, January 27, Stop UBC Animal Research will stage “UBC’s monkey death row” to protest the university’s brutal experiments on monkeys. The demonstration will include four activists dressed as monkeys in bright orange jail suits and in chains caged in a mock jail cell. Public invited to attend this provocative, theatrical event.
Stop UBC Animal Research has offered to buy UBC's monkeys - who are currently being used in research - so the animals can be placed in a primate sanctuary where they can live their lives in peace.

*Injecting toxins into monkeys' brains to simulate “parkinsonism”
*Administering electroconvulsive shock to monkeys to induce seizures
*Blinding monkeys in vision deprivation studies
*Injecting particles into the fetuses of pregnant monkeys
