FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) January 12, 2012 -- The deployment of cloud services and new IT technologies is set to rise dramatically across the African continent this year.
That’s the verdict of a number of industry professionals and analysts across the globe, and something that has led one of the sector’s leading event series into holding their first trade show on African soil – the Cloud Computing World Forum Africa, to take place in Johannesburg, on 8th May 2012.

According to a recent report by global analysts, IDC, Africa’s adoption of Cloud Computing and IT, alongside the Middle East and Turkey, is set to grow in double-digits in 2012, up 12% to $65 billion, with many businesses and organisations across the continent looking for new ways to integrate the use of cloud services into their IT operations and benefit from its cost-effectiveness.

And with infrastructure and broadband availability slowly improving across the continent, a number of large-scale North American, European and Asia IT providers are now taking an interest in developing cloud services across Africa this year, leading to presence at shows such as the 2012 Cloud Computing World Forum Africa.

With over 400 people in attendance from across the region, and a number of top global exhibitors and expert speakers giving focalised talks in the large keynote theatre, the conference, to be held at the Sandton Sun Hotel, Johannesburg, should be one of the most anticipated events on the region’s IT calendar, and could help shape the future use of cloud services on the continent.

Expert speakers confirmed for the event, from some of the largest companies in Africa, include First National Bank, KPMG Services, Consol Glass, AfriSam, ABSA and many more. To see the full list of speaker please visit www.cloudcomputinglive.com/africa/conference/speakers

There will be a free-to-attend expo and full workshop program running alongside the conference which will provide delegates with an opportunity to discuss cloud computing with some of the world’s top IT vendors, and attend focused seminars designed to tackle specific issues related to adopting the technology.

Attendees will also have the chance to win an iPad2.
