AGATA: THE PERFECT CHAIR FOR HOSPITALITY
AGATA: THE PERFECT CHAIR FOR HOSPITALITY
Alma Design will be present at Sigep (Italy), Hall A1 Stand 175 with its chair Agata, specifically designed for hotels and restaurants.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) January 16, 2012 --
Use the traditional material such as wood to create an innovative chair dedicated to hotels and restaurants: this has been the design challenge of Alma Design .
Thanks to a great collaboration between designers and technical staff of Alma Design, a first three-dimensional design was created, then followed by a volumetric sample necessary to concretely see and understand forms, volume and ergonomics of the chair.
Agata is a comfortable tub chair with the body made by curved oak: the arms are connected to the back in a continuous curve, combining different thicknesses of wood and giving a sense of elegance and refinement.
The wrapping shape makes the chair available to be used in hotel rooms, restaurants, waiting halls and small spaces.
Agata has a polyurethane stuffing that gives comfort and preciousness to the seat (the upholstery is available in endless varieties of fabrics or eco-leather) and the wooden parts can be in natural wood with grains exposed or in lacquered version.
The entire structure leans on slender tapering legs that give a sense of delicacy and lightness.
The chair is composed of several elements that are assembled with adhesives in compliance with European regulations, which include the absence of formaldehyde.
The wood used to make Agata is FSC certified, so coming from forests that are managed in a proper and responsible way, according to environmental, social and economic standards.
Before reaching the final piece of Agata, various tests and adjustments (typical of industrial design and due to desire for perfection and originality that characterize Alma Design production) were required.
The first definitive pieces of Agata (tested and certified in compliance with European regulations for domestic and collective sectors) were presented at Salone del Mobile 2011 that was held in Milan.
