AgeScan Inc. launches handheld ID Scanner

The handheld ID scanner is dust and splash resistant. It is IP54 rated for water with outdoor viewable 4.3” LCD touch screen display. The distinct rubberized edges protect it from dust. It is a perfect piece that can be used indoor, outdoor and even in harsh environments.

This handheld ID scanner is equipped with updates and support, toll-free support number, rapid e-mail support response, loaner unite during repairs and the best part is that updates are delivered to the handheld ID scanner via Wi-Fi.

AgeScan’s handheld ID scanner is customizable where you can set up to three age thresholds to check a simple green or red answer for age verification.

The distinctive guest counter feature automatically calculates the occupancy and each time when customer leaves, you have to press a button on the AgeScan to use this feature. Moreover, when networked together, multiple AgeScan handhelds can track the occupancy in the same space.

The AgeScan handhelds is simple to operate as it is completely set for magnetic strip verification. This means that verification is displayed in an instant. It has buttons on both sides in order to activate the 2D bar code reader.

The highlighting factor is that it has separate logins for each operator or administrator which allows only the administrator to have the scan review capability after initial scan. The different logins helps you protect your settings as no other operator can change the same. The operator is required to use a magnetic strip card to sign in.

These handhelds can be networked together. To counter the language problem, one can change the language from English to Spanish in the settings screen of the AgeScan handhelds and can add additional languages as well.

This innovative device helps the administrators to access the basic reports directly on the handheld and extensive detailed reports on the desktop applications. Also, the e-mail and phone numbers of each customer is manually inserted.

The handheld ID scanner receives warnings such as invalid license number scheme for some jurisdictions, repeat scans at the same time when a number of customers use the same id, non-readable ids, under-age customers, VIP number and banned customer.
