Our lives have become increasingly monotonous and routine. In today’s world of global business where global citizenship and leadership are the need of the hour, we as students must challenge ourselves to break free from these cobwebs we have built around us and go ahead to become true leaders at a young age.
Often, it’s the lack of opportunity which holds us back from displaying and developing the leadership which each one of us has within ourselves. At AIESEC, the worlds strongest youth run organisation, students have realised that in order to become global leaders, they not only need to think like a global citizen, but also live like one. These students are presented with ample opportunities to grow, develop and hone their entrepreneurial skills which would help them become global leaders. Says Nikhil Saigal, AIESEC Alumni (currently working with Technopak), “The AIESEC experience gives you an unparalleled exposure at a very early age. Due to it's vast network spread across over 100 countries it teaches you to understand and respect different cultures and through taking different responsibilities it moulds you to be a future global leader and entrepreneur.” Nikhil was one such individual who made the most of the opportunities in AIESEC which helped him become a young leader.
In the coming months AIESEC through its “Global Entrepreneurs Program” is targeting more of our country’s youth, the global entrepreneurs of tomorrow, and helping them enrich their education by providing a holistic international experience which would help in their future endeavors. AIESEC’s ’Global Entrepreneurs Program’ is providing young students a chance to develop entrepreneurial and leadership skills through international internships on mainly social issues. ”Going on Exchange or an Internship is one of the most intense learning experiences. Its given me a lot of practical exposure and a definitive edge over my peers” says Tobias Baseda, who came to India from Germany through AIESEC’s Exchnage Program. Present in 105 countries, AIESEC provides the ideal platform for young people to discover and develop their potential to have a positive impact on society. Being the largest student organization in the world, with over 28,000 members, AIESEC facilitates international internships which helps young students and professionals gain international exposure in over a wide horizon of opportunities.
