Aiming further than ever before - World Records Day 2011
Read about the plans of Alastair Galpin (the second biggest world record holder of the decade 2000-2009) for Guinness World Records™ Day 2011 on 17th November 2011.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(Free-Press-Release.com) November 14, 2011 --
The greatest day of the year – which happens every year – is upon us! It’s Guinness World Records™ Day 2011 on 17 November.
Fresh from his appearance on a world records show on Italian television (where Alastair attained three more world records) and having spent over 33 hours shaking hands for a shared world record in Times Square, New York, Alastair Galpin of New Zealand intends to once again take part in the Guinness World Records™ Day 2011 and win back one of his earlier records.

Welcome visit Our WebSite:
http://www.worldrecordchase.com This year Alastair won't be jumping in with both feet first, he’ll be spitting it out. A cork, that is.
The Viaduct Harbour in Auckland, New Zealand, home to more eating and drinking houses than one could visit between dusk and dawn, will host the wanna-be world champion spitter for Guinness World Records™ Day.
He’ll appear at a bustling CouchSurfing social event there, round up a few eager travellers as witnesses, and send a saliva-smothered wine cork skidding down the length of the bar floor.
Alastair will have a selection of very carefully chosen corks with him. Each has been licked to coat it in plenty of saliva, then spat over a dozen times in practise, and its flight capabilities noted. One cork comes all the way from Milan, Italy, where Alastair went to great lengths to obtain it from the confused owner of a tiny pub who spoke not a word of English. Another is an import into New Zealand, which Alastair scooped off a bar floor late at night, and he’ll be carrying spares.
Alastair used to hold this world record at 5 metres, which he achieved into a moderate head wind at a public fair in 2009. Ashrita Furman, the only person to have broken more Guinness World Records™ than Alastair during the past decade, stripped Alastair of this cork-spitting record – not surprising, since an indoor event would have attained a better result.
This year, Alastair Galpin intends to win the title back. This time, the performance will be indoors, surrounded by an engaging mix of international travellers, and Alastair’s lungs are puffed up ready.
So, bring on the wonderful CouchSurfing community for Guinness World Records™ Day 2011.
Bring on the bystanders. And bring on the entertainment using corks, saliva and at least one lungful of air.
